Driver Question: When Do Uber Drivers Get Paid?
Answer: Most Uber drivers get paid weekly by Friday. Uber pay week goes from 4:00 am Monday to 3:59 am that following Monday. By Tuesday, you should be able to see the official pay statement on your dashboard.
Late Tuesday and early Wednesday payments are processed. It’s very possible to start seeing your money in your account as early as Wednesday morning!
However, most banks will not post the payment till Friday.
Monday trips – pay day is Thursday.
Tuesday trips – pay day is Friday.
Wednesday trips – pay day is Monday.
Thursday trips – pay day is Tuesday.
Friday trips – pay day is Wednesday.
If you are a driver who drives in a state where drivers are paid daily like a TAXI driver. Your daily cycle starts and end at 4:00am and your money will be deposited at least 3 business days after the completed trip(s).
Daily Payments: You might be eligible to receive your payments daily even if you are an uberX driver. Uber has launched a program called Instant Pay. Uber drivers who are enrolled in Instant Pay your trip earnings are instantly available to you and you can cash out up to 5 times a day.
In short, all you need is to have taken at least 25 trips, been an active driver for at least 2 weeks and is not currently renting or leasing a vehicle through Xchange. There maybe other requirements, but these are the basics.
Uber will contact you once your account become eligible for daily pay setup. You can always contact Uber directly and ask for more information about the Instant Pay program.
We recommend that you check your payment history daily. Because riders write in all the time disputing trips.
Especially for bad routes. There’s not much you can do if your route was a complete mess, but take that lost and do better the next time.
However, some trips might not register in the system like they should and therefore might need manual adjusting.
Or, you might notice some other pay discrepancy. So be a wise wo(man) and check your stuff daily.
You are an independent business owner, not an Uber employee.
It’s not their job to keep up with your stuff.
No company’s system is perfect 100% of the time so make sure you are checking behind the system.
3rd Party DailyPay Update 9/2016: Even if you are not in an Uber state that pays out daily, you can now sign up for daily payments through the DailyPay program.
DailyPay will verify your earnings directly from Uber and then within 24 hours your payment will post to your bank account.
Update 11/2016: The DailyPay program which is ran by a 3rd party company will no longer be accepting any new drivers applications at this time. This is not the same as the Uber Instant Pay program, which you might still be eligible for.
