Answer: Uber is actually an app that allows you to request a personal driver on-demand. You do not have to make reservations. Once you are ready to leave, you can simply go to your app and request a driver.
At this time, you would need a credit card in order to use the app. And it’s important to note that Uber does not accept some prepaid cards. So don’t be surprised if your credit card is not accepted by their system. Unfortunately, you will need to add another card to your account. Uber is, however, testing the cash option in some cities so if you are one of those lucky people who resides in one of those cities, you will see the option to pay with cash via the app.
Uber can only be downloaded on iPhone, Android and Blackberry devices at this time. Once you have successfully downloaded the app, getting started using the it is easy peasy. You can either let the app find you with the GPS or you can type in your address, landmark or venue.

Uber is available in over 18 countries and growing. Most cities have different vehicle types, the most common being the uberX, which can hold up to 4 passengers. Up from that is the uberXL, which can hold up to 6 passengers. If you prefer the more luxury options, Uber also have uberBLACK (4 passengers) and SUV (6 passengers). And a lot of cities also have the old TAXI option.
