Driver Question: Uber When Do I Get Paid? In this brief article we will discuss this.
Answer: Great question! For the most part most drivers are paid weekly via direct deposit and some drivers (depending on their city) are paid daily with Instant Pay! If Instant Pay is available in your driving city Uber will let you know the requirements in order to take advantage of this perk.
Uber driver pay schedule are the following; per Uber, you are paid for trips from Monday 4:00am to Monday 3:59am. We were told that they process payments on Monday and drivers should receive their pay statement by Tuesday. Depending on your bank, you can receive your weekly pay as early as Thursday or the latest by Friday.
In order to set up payment, this must be done via a system Uber uses call Vault. This system handles your direct deposit and IRS tax information. Yes, you will have to provide your Social Security Number, Address, Bank Routing Number and Account Number. Uber do not pay by check, so don’t ask.
If you don’t have a bank account, you can always get one of those prepaid cards that allow direct deposits. There are a lot of them. Just go to your nearest drug store like Walgreen or a store like Walmart, Target, etc., and inquire about one. Those types of accounts will work just fine. All you need is a routing number and account number to be paid.
TAXI drivers are typically paid differently because the driver is driving under a taxi company. TAXI driver can be paid via cash, credit card, etc.
