Uber Instant Pay Reviews & Information
The Instant Pay for personal debit card program allows Uber driver-partners to transfer earnings instantly using a debit card.
Uber Instant Pay Signup
There has been a lot of confusion on how to sign-up for the program.
The two ways that has been reported to signup:
When Uber send you the email letting you know that you are eligible, or use your app and check in EARNINGS for the Instant Pay tab and Add your debit card option.
If you decide to go with the Uber GoBank debit card, you will get some extra benefits.
You do not have to be enrolled in the Instant Pay program in order to take advantage.
For example:
○ If you are not in the Instant Pay program, you can get paid up to 2 days earlier.
○ FREE to withdraw cash out at over 42,000 ATMs.
○ NO overdraft fees, NSF fees, or penalty fees
Not everyone will see this option, if you do not have this tab in your app, your account is not eligible at that time. Check back.
For the time being, you can still get paid weekly and your earning will be deposited before or by Friday.
Since not everyone will be approved for this program, please read below for the requirements, common asked questions and what others are saying about this new feature.
Instant Pay Requirements
To be eligible for instant pay, you need to:
– Be approved to drive with Uber for at least 2 weeks
– Complete at least 25 trips
Uber Instant Pay Not Eligible
You won’t be eligible for instant pay if:
– You pay for vehicle financing through the Xchange program or garnishments
– You’ve fallen into arrears with Uber
– Your account is flagged for security or risk and we’re taking a closer look at it
Appeal
If you feel though none of these issues applies to you and your account and you should be eligible, Uber strongly encourages drivers to reach out and let them know. Uber will be able to review your account and many any necessary adjustments so you can move forward with the program.
Can PayPal Debit Card Be Used?
According to Uber, at this time the PayPal debit card cannot be used as a method to receive your daily deposit.
The options you have to get your money deposited on would be the Uber Debit Card from GoBank or with the expanded Instant Pay option most Visa, Mastercard or Discover USA debit card that are associated with a traditional checking or savings account.
GoBank Fees
$0.50 fee per transfer. If you use your GoBank Uber Debit Card there’s no transfer or monthly fee. There is no minimum cash out amount.
How Long It Takes To Receive?
Once approved you can expect your card in the mail within 5-7 business days.
