You can easily update your mobile number with Uber either via the app or going online to do so.
If you would like to update via the app:
1. Go to your account menu by tapping the little guy icon in the top left corner of your app.
2. Tap the ‘Settings’ option.
3. On this screen tap your photo profile. You can update your phone number by tapping your number and re-entering your password. The next screen after confirming your number, you will be able to update.
If you would like to update it online:
1. Go to riders.uber.com and log in
2. Click the “Profile” tab
3. You can change your number here and other account info just like in the app
Note: If you are having trouble updating your phone number this likely means that your mobile number is already registered on someone else account. In this case, you would need to https://help.uber.com so they can release your number.
Uber might ask you to show your identification and a screenshot of the phone number in your phone before they are able to transfer the number. So don’t be surprise.
If you get an error that prevent you from changing your number it could be that the number has already been registered or something.
