Driver Issue: Uber Phone No Sound

Your phone’s sound might be turned off. Here are some common ways to resolve that problem:

1. Ensure that the phone is not on mute by clicking up the slide bar on the slide of the phone. Additionally, make sure that the volume is up all the way on the phone.

2. If the car is newer and has a built in USB and the driver plugs the phone into the USB port in your car, the beep from the request will play through the car’s speakers. If you do do this, ensure that the volume on the speaker is up.

3. If the car is newer and the phone is connected to the vehicle via Bluetooth, the beep from the request will only play if the channel is set to Bluetooth.

If neither of these steps resolve the issue, please contact support@uber.com for future assistance and a possiblity to have the phone swapped out.
