Most prepaid cards are not accepted. You will need to add a valid credit or debit card.

Yes. uberX– up to 4. uberXL– up to 6. uberBLACK– up to 4. uberSUV– up to 6.

What’s the difference between uberX and uberBLACK?
uberX is the cheapest of all Uber services. uberBLACK is the luxury option. The vehicle will have black interior and exterior and can be anything from a Mercedes to a BMW.

The app is unable to find my location, what can I do?
Sometimes this can happen. You can always try manually entering your pick-up location or venue name. If nothing seems to be working, you can always text your driver the correct address after you have requested the ride.

Is my first ride free?
In order to take advantage of your first free ride, you most enter the promotion code on your account prior to taking the trip. You can either use a friend or family member’s invite code or obtain it directly from https://www.uber.com/promo/.

How can I get a receipt?
Your receipt will be emailed to you after your ride has ended. If you did not receive it, you should check your spam folder first. If you still do not have it, we recommend that you go to the settings options via the app and double check your email address.

You can update it if needed. You can then resend yourself your receipt by logging into your online account at riders.uber.com. Go to the trip and click resend receipt.

Who do I contact about a lost item?
You will try contacting your driver first. If he doesn’t answer then you should leave a message requesting a call back. If the lost item is one that is time sensitive, then you can email Uber support for further assistance.

Can I order a ride for my friend?
Yes. All you need to do is manually enter your friend’s pickup address. Do not enter or allow the app to set the pickup address to your location. This is very important.


Once the ride has been assigned to a driver, you should contact the driver and let them know that they will be picking up a friend. You can also confirm that they have the correct pickup address. Then you should contact your friend and provide them with the driver’s name and vehicle information that the app display so they can easily identify the driver when they arrive. Another idea would be to send your friend a screenshot of this information.

Can I request more than one ride?
No. More than one ride cannot be requested at one time. You can always have an additional friend or family member download the app so another ride can be requested. If you provide them with your invite code they will be able to ride free up to so much and you will in return get a free ride up to so much. A win-win situation!

How old you must be to use Uber?
At least 18 years old. Under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. If it’s reported that a rider is suspected to be underage, Uber will deactivate the account until the rider’s age is verified. The rider will have to send in a copy of their driver’s license.

Can I bring my dog with me?
By law if your dog is a service animal, then yes. Otherwise it will be at the discretion of the driver. You should contact the driver after the ride has been booked and let them know that you have a dog and ask them would it be okay.
