Uber Driver Dress Code
Question: ★ Uber Driver Dress Code ★
Answer: Since you are not employed by Uber, but an independent contractor leasing the app – you do not have a mandatory dress code. The decision what to wear is totally up to you. However, if you are serious about this gig and want to maintain a high rating, then your best bet is to be presentable and more professional looking while picking up passengers.
You do not need to be dressed in a double-breasted suit to be well dressed. A pair of nice jeans and casual shirt will do just fine. Most driver can afford to easily wear this on a regular basis. Make sure your clothes are clean and well ironed. You shouldn’t look like just roll out of bed and threw something together.
☛One big no-no is try not to wear your other job’s uniform while driving Uber.
For one, this is a bit tacky and sometimes it can confuse the rider. Many riders don’t seem to get that drivers are allowed to have other jobs outside of Uber, so sometimes they might leave weird feedback about this. Even though this sounds petty, they will complain.
Uber want deactivate or contact you about how you dress even when a rider complain unless you were driving shirtless or t-shirt had something offensive on it. Even then, Uber want do much but give you the heads up that riders are complaining and this could hurt your rating, which you need to maintain a 4.6 to remain active.
But, we must point out that if you are a professional uberBLACK or SUV driver, a nice suit looks best. Or even a pair of slacks and button down shirt.
